Grinner visual identity

Grinner is the acronym for the project “ImprovinG waste management through an AI-powered detection system of batteries utilizing data from Xray detectors and pick-and-place robots”. It aims to commercialise an autonomous robotic sorting system based on artificial intelligence (AI). It would be able to detect and remove battery-containing waste from the waste stream, before it enters the machines that shred and consolidate the waste (and are inhospitable to batteries).

The project is summarised as follows: “AI observes batteries to prevent fires”.

Spade created the brand identity by working on 3 keywords: Artificial Intelligence / Battery / Fire prevention. Each keyword has its symbol and colour:

• AI = dark purple eye
• Battery = flashy green rectangle with lightning
• Fire prevention = red flame
