(Re)Think UX

(Re)Think UX

3 workshops to boost the User Experience of your website or mobile app.

Ease the navigation of your users

As you hear or read when it comes to digital, UX is not just a buzzword. The User Experience has become in a few years the spearhead of all digital platforms – at Spade, it is the core of our thinking: a medium can only be created after a thorough reflection where the end user is at the centre of the debate. It is for him or her that the platform is designed, it is for him or her that you must seduce, make feel comfortable, get him or her to do this or that. Do not forget that it’s he or she that will rate or recommend you. In short, thinking about it is not an option, it is an obligation.

Before embarking on a major technical development, Spade suggests that you first “think” about your digital project

 • by involving the stakeholders in creative workshops
 • by developing a prototype of your future platform
 • by having it tested by real users in order to obtain qualitative feedback

We make sure that your digital platform is as close as possible to your users’ expectations.

The UX Design step by step

Digital Maturity and Strategy

The strategy is discussed in participative workshops, a broad group reflection to frame the user experience of your project (the existing one if there is one, and the best one to develop in any case).

These workshops are facilitated by two people, with renowned methods and tools to bounce the discussion around and record the steps decided upon. The elements noted will be included in the final report, which constitutes the UX documentation of your project. This element is a reference for the rest of your development, but is not immutable – you will have acquired the necessary knowledge in the workshops to question and document the evolution of the UX of your site independently if the need arises.

Prototype for the Digital Project

Whether it’s a website or a mobile application, it’s worth testing the tool to make sure that the abstract ideas work on the concrete medium. How do the different interfaces fit together? Is the architecture clear and understandable? Is the navigation well thought out? Can the different target audiences find everything they are looking for? And so on.

At this stage, we develop or challenge the overall functioning of your digital project. It is about designing the most relevant UX for the different interfaces.

Test the use on the platform

After hours of using the tool, you know it so well that you no longer have the necessary distance to judge its usability. This is normal, and this is the time to call on “novice” users, who will browse your platform and give feedback on what they think of it.

The exercise consists of 3 steps:

 • establish test scenarios – the user is not randomly dropped onto the platform, he or she comes with an intention
 • recruit a panel of testers
 • actually testing

The verbatim, feedback and other results of the qualitative tests are collected in a report, a basic document for improving the user experience of the platform.

They already have boosted their UX

The workshops were a great collective and participative experience for the team. Supervised but very interactive, they helped us greatly to start identifying our target audiences while allowing us to reproduce and continue the exercise even after the website was launched.
